About

Welcome to my Carrd! I'm Solaire, a concept artist, game artist, and illustrator looking for opportunities to perfect my skill set. I'm calm, friendly, a team player, and open-minded.To me, art is a way to contribute to projects I’m passionate about, like games. It’s also a way to play with ideas, shapes, colors, and inspirations to blend them into a coherent final image.I’ve been studying art for more than a decade now. I started at the high school level with an art and graphic design specialization before getting a bachelor’s degree in plastic arts. Then, I studied for a year in comic book art until I switched specialization to get my master’s degree in digital arts. Finally, in 2024, I followed a game artist training course at the Technocité of Mons. There, I eventually did all the art and animations for Dubious, a two-player puzzle platformer game.

Terms of Service

01 - General Terms

  • Prices are subject to change based on demand.

  • I have the right to reject any order for any reason.

  • I require clear references (by image and/or by text).

02 - Payment

  • The transaction will be done through a Belgian company called Smart. You will pay them on their bank account, not me directly.

  • Don't send any payment before I have agreed to give you a slot and you have signed the Smart contract.

03 - Process & Delivery

  • The time it takes to finish your commission varies from 1 week to 3 months depending on factors such as health, the complexity of the commissioned piece, other work, and con seasons. It can take longer as well, depending on the speed of which I receive answers from you at every step.

  • Once the piece is finished you will receive the full-resolution image along with a web-friendly size. Note that there is no physical product.

04 - Revisions

  • Be specific on what you want, as time consuming revisions aren't possible. If you have approved something on a previous step, I will not change it. Of course, if I send you something and you want something changed, mention it right away and it will be done.

05 - Copyright & Usage

  • I, Solaire:

  • I reserve the right to cancel and refund the order at any time for any reason.

  • I retain all copyrights over the commissioned artwork.

  • I will NOT claim the intellectual property (IP) of the commissioned artwork (your characters are still yours, etc.)

  • I will NOT profit further from the commissioned artwork unless you (the customer) break any of the terms.

  • I reserve the right to post the commissioned artwork online, in my portfolio.

  • YOU (THE CUSTOMER/COMMISSIONER):

  • You may upload the commissioned artwork on any website and social channels.

  • You may NOT make profits from the commissioned piece (reselling, redistributing, uploading to POD-services, making prints for selling, etc.) unless we agreed beforehand.

  • You may NOT alter the commissioned artwork without my consent.

  • If you commission me a lineart illustration to color it yourself, please be upfront about it during your first emails.

  • You MAY be allowed to sell the artwork if it is a part of an Adoptable. Please discuss this with me (the artist) prior to paying for the artwork.

  • You retain the rights to the intellectual property (IP).

  • You may NOT use the commissioned artwork for commercial purposes unless stated otherwise beforehand.

  • THE FOLLOWING IS CONSIDERED COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT:

  • Reproducing/using the copyrighted artwork commercially - means making money off it in any way not excluded from these terms.

  • Claiming the artwork as your own.

  • Altering the artwork without my consent.

  • In some cases, the commercial rights to the image may be purchased for a higher fee, but it has to be discussed upfront.

06 - Cancellation &
Refund policy

  • Unfortunately, as I am working with contracts with Smart, I cannot offer a cancellation and refund. If you commission me and sign my contract, you will get the art you paid for unless the terms of the contract are broken, either by me or by you.
